Stephen Hine has been Head Chef at  the award winning Oak Room Restaurant, since Tylney Hall opened its doors as a hotel in 1985. He previously worked as Sous Chef at Oakley Court and completed his training of 5 years at the world renowned The Dorchester hotel in London.

The Oak Room’s accolades include two AA rosettes, and Stephen prides himself on using the best ingredients available to create classical dishes with a modern approach.

Steve Strong has been Restaurant Manager at the Oak Room Restaurant for the past 13 years. Steve started at Tylney Hall in 1988 as Head Waiter and after 2 years was promoted to Deputy Restaurant Manager before progressing to Restaurant Manger.

Previous to Tylney Hall Steve has worked up and down the country. He trained in his home town of Liverpool as a commis waiter gaining experience in Flambé, silver service and carving. Highlights of Steve’s career include serving Princess Anne at a Save the Children function and also winning leader and employee of the year within Tylney Hall.
